Well appointed bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of the Hadrian's Wall corridor. Double, super king size and single ensuite rooms. Ideally situated for all major Roman sites. Vindolanda is only 2 miles away and Housesteads is 3. Across the road is the start of the North Pennines AONB and Allen banks national trust property with 500 acres of riverbank and woodland walks. Like to visit the North at least twice a year and always stay at the Strand.
I liked this :
The welcome, the comfy beds (always have a good nights sleep) and of course the breakfast which is second to none

We have been staying at The Strand since 2008 & it has always been excellent. Great room, excellent food and a great night's sleep - what more can you ask for?
